This is a small pub/restaurant right in the station building, with entrances from both main station hall and outside, and a few tables outdoors as well. I went with a family for a quick meal after arriving in Cochem. The menu is relatively simple, with solid German fare. We had two schnitzels with eggs and some Wurst, everything was well prepared and tasty. The waitress was efficient, polite and had some extra kind words for our kid (perhaps the place does not look as kind-friendly from the outside, but service-wise it definitely was). We sat outside, so I can't tell much about ambience inside the venue, although generally it looks like a station pub. Which is a good thing in my book. The only thing detracting from the experience is a generally sorry state of the, otherwise beautiful and historic, station building, although this of course is no fault of the restaurant owners. Altogether, the meal was a very pleasant experience, exactly what I expected of this kind of establishment.

Die Bahnhofsgaststätte Gleis 9 in Cochem ist ein echter Geheimtipp! Direkt am Bahnhof gelegen, ist sie der perfekte Ort für eine entspannte Pause vor oder nach der Zugreise. Die Atmosphäre ist herzlich und einladend, mit einem charmanten Mix aus rustikalem Ambiente und moderner Gemütlichkeit. Das Essen ist wirklich empfehlenswert – frisch zubereitet, mit regionalen Akzenten und zu fairen Preisen. Besonders die kleinen Snacks und Gerichte aus der Moselregion haben uns begeistert. Auch die Getränkekarte lässt keine Wünsche offen, von Kaffee bis zu einem guten Glas Moselwein. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machte. Egal ob für Reisende oder Einheimische, die Gaststätte Gleis 9 ist ein wunderbarer Ort, um die Zeit zu genießen. Absolut einen Besuch wert!

Wat een verademing om in Cochem buiten het centrum voor een normale prijs goed te kunnen eten. Het eten was eenvoudig, maar erg lekker. Bradkartoffeln uit de pan ipv de frituur. En dat met een zeer vriendelijke vrouw die ons bediende.

Wir waren durch Zufall dort vorbei gekommen u wollten eine Kleinigkeit essen. Es sah so gemütlich aus u nahmen gleich draußen Platz. Die Chefin kam auch sofort auf uns zu , sehr nett u freundlich . Die Speisekarte war gut u übersichtlich. Ich bestelle mir ein Jägerschnitzel, Pommes u Salat. Es wurde alles frisch zubereitet u gebraten, war total lecker u begeistert. Auch vom Preis her echt super. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Immer wieder gerne.
